Every once in a while you come across a very special person.  Someone who is selfless, has a big heart and thinks of others before thinking of themselves.  And when you meet such a person, you feel drawn to them and quickly want to champion their cause.

Emma Reid from Depew, NY is one of these people.  At 16 she is unlike most teenage girls. Her passion isn’t for the latest movie, makeup or fashion trend.  Its to help raise money and awareness for orphans in Ghana and ultimately take a mission trip there to help in any way possible.

Emma left a post on our Facebook page linking back to her blog where she spoke of how she has been trying for over a year to raise enough money for her mission trip.  We contacted her and quickly realized she is a very special young woman with a big heart and that she was someone we wanted to support.

At that time we were near the end of our design cycle for our fall line and decided we would devote one new style to Emma and her cause.  We named our new backpack style “The Emma Bag” and committed to donate 20% of every backpack sold to her worthy cause.  The Emma Bag is now available in red, caramel and black and you can see Emma modeling each color below!
